The AMD Radeon RX 6800 GPU is very similar to its bigger brother, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU and offers 4K gaming on a 7nm process based on the Navi 21 graphics processor. 26.8 billion transistors provide 128MB of AMD Infinity Cache Technology, plus compatibility with DirectX 12 Ultimate. With a 256-bit memory interface and a maximum memory bandwidth of 512GB/s, this GPU can support up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory.
Up to 60 ray accelerators, 96 ROPs, 240 texture units, and 3840 stream processors are available with this card, a decrease in amounts compared to the Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU. It is possible to achieve peak pixel fill rates of up to 202.1GP/s and peak texture fill rates of up to 505.2GT/s. Peak computation capacity is 16.17 TFLOPS for single precision and 32.33 TFLOPS for half precision. With a boost frequency of up to 2105 MHz, the GPU operates at a gaming frequency of 1815 MHz.
Three axial fans are located on the front of the aluminum frame of the Radeon RX 6800 GPU to provide silent cooling and operation. It has two DisplayPort 1.4a, one HDMI 2.1, and one USB Type C port on the side. Moreover, the card needs a minimum of 650W for the host PSU and two 8-pin power connectors consuming up to 250W of average board power. The GPU is connected to the rest of the system over a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface.
