The ASUS RS521A-E12-RS24U Server supports a single 4th or 5th generation AMD EPYC processor with up to 192 Zen 5c cores, as well as those with AMD 3D V-Cache technology. The 2U system features a 12-channel memory architecture, with 2x DIMMs per channel, for a total of 24x DIMM slots. Users can install RDIMMs or 3DS RDIMMs for a maximum of 2TB of memory with memory speeds of up to 5200 MH/z when using 9005 series CPUs.
The system is designed for enterprise applications and for use as a data center storage server. A total of 24x 2.5” all-flash NVMe drives can be loaded on the front panel of the ASUS RS521A-E12-RS24U, with an additional 2x 2.5” SATA3 trays on the rear. 2x M.2 with a SATA signal or PCIe Gen5 x4 link can be found on the motherboard for cards with interfaces up to 22110. Depending on the NVMe storage configurations, this server can accommodate various PCIe layouts. When the system features 16x NVMe drive bays on the front of the chassis, up to 5x PCIe Gen5 slots and 1x OCP 3.0 slot are supported, as opposed to the 1x PCIe Gen5 slot and 1x OCP 3.0 slot when 24x NVMe drives are installed. GPUs are not supported when 24x NVMe drive bays are installed. The following configurations can be used on this platform:

For extra security, an optional front bezel can be installed to prevent unauthorized physical access to the hard drives and power button. Up to 4x single-slot or 2x double-slot GPU cards can be connected depending on the storage as mentioned above. This system is powered by either a 1+1 redundant 2000W/1600W 80 PLUS Titanium power supply or a 1+1 redundant 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supply.
Administrators can manage the RS521A-E12-RS24U using ASUS Control Center, a web-based software that lets you monitor and control various ASUS devices like servers, workstations, and PCs. It's a secure, cost-effective solution for enterprises and data centers, supporting over 1,000 systems when supplied with the appropriate host. The platform tracks hardware, software, and assets remotely, and allows software updates, reporting, and remote access via PCs or mobile devices. It also includes security features like customizable permissions. Alternatively, the ASUS ASMB11-iKVM provides remote server management, even if the server is off or unresponsive. Compliant with IPMI 2.0, it helps reduce management costs and improve productivity by enabling real-time monitoring and control.
