It features a single 5th or 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor with vRAN Boost supporting up to 64 cores and a maximum TDP of up to 350W for ultimate edge performance. In addition, this machine offers up to 8x DDR5 RDIMMs supporting up to 1TB of RAM with up to 4800MT/s for a 50% increase in memory bandwidth compared to DDR4 RAM. There are 4x 2.5-inch SATA, SAS, or NVMe SSD drive bays on the front of the 1U system.
As part of Dell’s ruggedized line of servers, this Dell system is an all-purpose platform built for telecom, defense, retail, and other demanding edge deployments. The short-depth PowerEdge XR5610 server delivers up to 2x PCIe Gen5 expansion slots plus a slot for an optional OCP 3.0 mezzanine card. The chassis has 4x 25GbE SFP+ LOM ports on the rear. Offering remarkable flexibility, the system can also be outfitted with dual 75W GPUs with single-width, full-height, half-length form factors. The air-cooled server supports several power supply units including 1800W Titanium, 1400W Platinum, 1100W Titanium, and 800W Platinum PSUs. In addition to military and defense deployments, the system is well suited for 5G vRAN and ORAN telecom workloads, as well as retail AI applications including video surveillance, IoT device aggregation, and PoS analytics.
