The 2U Gigabyte E243-E30 Edge Server, built on AMD’s EPYC 8004 series processor, features a single socket capable of supporting CPUs with up to 64 cores and 128 threads. Leveraging advanced 5nm architecture, the CPU delivers a configurable TDP of up to 225W. The 2U chassis offers 2x 2.5” hot-swap drive bays on the rear panel, supporting Gen5 NVMe, SATA, and SAS4 configurations. It also accommodates dual-slot Gen5 x16 GPUs through 2x riser cards, enabling high-performance edge computing.
In addition to the rear storage bays, the Gigabyte E243-E30 Server features a single M.2 slot on the motherboard with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface to boot the operating system. It’s equipped with 12x DDR5 memory slots, supporting 6-channel memory architecture, and can accommodate up to 1TB of memory when all DIMM slots are populated with 96GB RDIMMs running at speeds of up to 4800 MT/s. The rear I/O not only provides storage connectivity but also includes 2x OCP 3.0 Gen5 x16 slots, allowing for next-gen add-on cards. Depending on the model revision, the server supports redundant 1600W 80 PLUS Titanium or Platinum power supplies.
