4th Generation AMD EPYC 9004 series CPUs offering up to 128 cores and 256 threads, each, can be installed in the dual-socket, 4U Gigabyte G493-ZB1 server. The system supports a configurable thermal design power (cTDP) rating of up to 300W with a maximum TDP of 400W under controlled thermal conditions. AMD’s 3D V-Cache Technology CPUs, are also supported. The 12x 2.5" hot-swappable bays can be outfitted with different drive configurations including 8x NVMe/SATA/SAS drive bays and 4x SATA/SAS drive bays. It can support up to 10x high-performance GPUs and up to 12TB of memory.
10x PCIe Gen5 x16 full-height, full-length slots for GPUs from manufacturers like Qualcomm, XILINX, AMD, and NVIDIA. With 10x GPUs, this system is ideal for AI, AI training and inference plus other high-performance computing applications. The system supports a 12-channel memory architecture with a total of 48x memory module slots that can support a maximum of 12TB of memory when every slot is occupied with 256GB 3DS RDIMM modules. Up to 4TB of RAM can be installed with 96GB RDIMM modules.
The system has 2x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots on the front of the chassis, which are useful for high-performance computing, AI, AI training, and AI inference. The server board supports 2x M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slots that accept 2280 and 22110 cards for more storage or to boot the operating system. Programs such as Redfish API, SuperDoctor 5, Super Diagnostics Offline, and IPMI 2.0 can be used to monitor the G493-ZB1 GPU server at-chassis or remotely. To safeguard against power outages and data loss, the system makes use of Gigabyte's SmaRT technology in conjunction with 3+1 redundant 3000W (240V) 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies.
