Powered by dual 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, the Gigabyte H261-NO0 server has 4x nodes in a 2U form factor. These CPUs support up to 28 cores, 56 threads, and a TDP of up to 205W per socket. They also support a 6-channel memory architecture for a total of 64x DDR4 memory module slots, or 16x per node, and up to 1TB of memory per node using RDIMMS. Meanwhile 128GB LRDIMMs offer up to 2TB of RAM. When 2nd generation Intel Xeon CPUs are installed, the system delivers more memory capabilities with Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory modules. On the front panel of each node are 24x 2.5” Gen3 NVMe/SATA/SAS hot-swappable SSD drive bays.
Each node on the high-density H261-NO0 server delivers 1x PCIe Gen3 x16 low profile slot and 1x PCIe Gen3 x8 slot, plus 1x OCP mezzanine slot with PCIe Gen3 x16. Administrators can use the pre-installed Gigabyte management portal (AMI MegaRAC SP-X) to access functions like sensors, event logs, inventory, and remote access. With a CMC (Central Management Controller) for chassis-level management and node-level monitoring, this machine is designed for simple deployment that entails less Top of Rack (ToR) cabling and switch connections. With CMC, just one MLAN connection is needed to monitor all 4x nodes. Two redundant 2200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies power the hybrid server.
