The high-density Gigabyte H262-P60 Server features 4x compute nodes, and is designed for high-performance computing, hyper-converged infrastructure, and hybrid or private cloud computing applications. Each node can house up to 2x Ampere Altra Max or Ampere Altra processors with up to 128 cores and 16x DDR4 DIMM slots. Fully configured, the maximum memory capacity per node is 8TB for up to 32TB system wide. 24x 2.5-inch front mounted, hot-swap SATA drive bays are evenly divided between the four nodes. Node expansion can be achieved via 2x PCIe x16 Gen4 low-profile slots.
Due to hardware limitations, the thermal design power (TDP) for CPUs installed on this system is limited to 190W. That includes CPU options with 128x physical cores. For support of the operating system or fast access storage needs each node has a single PCIe 4.0 x4 slot for an M.2 drive preserving the 6x 2.5-inch SATA drive bays assigned to each node. Across the system, there are a total of 8x PCIe x16 Gen4 low-profile slots for additional I/O controllers.
Powering the Gigabyte H262-P60 Server are dual 2200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies in a redundant configuration. Each node has access to 2x 1GbE LAN ports, one of which being an Intel I350-AM2 port as well as a dedicated management port. There is a single chassis management controller port allows Administrators to monitor the status of all the compute nodes in the chassis, reducing clutter, switches, and hardware costs. Remote management is offered by the pre-installed Gigabyte Management Console for a single server and the Gigabyte Server Manager (GSM) for multiple servers. To regulate system temperatures there are 8x 80mm fans spinning at 16.300 rpm.
