Supporting 4x nodes, this system offers 2x 2.5-inch Gen4 NVMe U.2 SSD bays on each node. Depending on the revision, the Gigabyte H262-Z6B server nodes support dual AMD EPYC 7001, 7002, or 7003 series CPUs. These processors support 8 to 64 cores each with a TDP of up to 225W and cTDP of up to 240W. The 2U, all-NVMe system uses dual 2200W redundant 80 PLUS Platinum PSUs and single phase immersion cooling on revisions ICU1 and ICP1 .
The drive cages support a tool-less, clipping mechanism that secures the drive and allows administrators to install or replace a new drive in seconds. The H262-Z6B server is suitable for high-performance computing, hybrid/private cloud server applications, and more. Management of the system is flexible with either Gigabyte’s Chassis Management Controler for global management of the system, leveraging the ASPEED AST 2500 module. Gigabyte’s Management Console and Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) provide additional options for single and multi-server applications.
Each of the 4x server nodes can be outfitted with up to 4TB of DDR4 memory operating at memory speeds of up to 3200MHz when all 16x DIMM slots are loaded with 256GB memory modules. The system's 64x DDR4 DIMM slots can accommodate up to 16TB of memory across all 4x nodes. In total, the H262-Z6B delivers 8x low-profile PCIe Gen4 x16 expansion slots and 4x M.2 slots with a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface distributed across the 4x nodes. Four different variations are avilable on this platform, which vary in CPU family, memory type, power supply, USB generation ports and optional immersion cooling.
