The Gigabyte H262-ZL2 is a liquid-cooled server with 4x nodes. The 2U, all-flash system holds 24x 2.5” Gen4 U.2 hot-swappable NVMe SSD bays on the front. All storage bays are also compatible with SATA devices. A liquid clooling module installs on each CPU and supports a cool liquid inlet and a warm liquid outlet. Dual sockets on each node are powered by 7002 or 7003 series AMD EPYC processors with 8 to 64 cores each. These 7nm CPUs feature a cTDP of up to 280W. Some PCIe or memory functions will be unavailable if only 1 CPU is installed.
Providing several useful attributes for data centers and cloud computing, the 2U Gigabyte H262-ZL2 server is designed for high-performance computing, hyperconverged infrastructure, and hybrid/private cloud server applications. To manage the system, users can choose from either the Aspeed AST2500 management controller or GIGABYTE Management Console (AMI MegaRAC SP-X). A Single Chassis Management Controller (CMC) port on the back of the chassis provides global management of all nodes and can easily manage a full rack of servers, delivering cost and maintenance efficiencies. A single low-profile PCIe Gen4 x16 expansion slot and OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot in each node provide options for expansion. Each node has 8x memory channels per processor and 16x DIMM slots that deliver up to 4TB of DDR4 memory when all slots are populated with 256GB memory modules. The system has 64x DDR4 DIMM slots and a total DDR4 memory capacity of up to 16TB. This chassis does not support M.2 slots.
