The Gigabyte H263-S62 Server is a quad node system designed for Hyper-Converged Infrastructure and Hybrid Cloud Server applications. It is an Intel-based system, featuring 2x 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors per node. Each socket supports 8x DDR5 DIMM slots and PCIe 5.0 expansion lanes. There are 6x 2.5-inch Gen4 hybrid drive bays assigned to each node.
The dual 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor configuration is based on the Intel C741 chipset. With support for a thermal design power rating of up to 350W, each node can be outfitted with CPUs delivering up to 64x physical cores and 128x virtual threads. The compatible processor family include Platinum, Gold, and Silver level processors. The CPU leverages 8x memory channels for increased memory bandwidth compared to previous generation CPUs. PCIe 5.0 is also supported on this system. Dual 3000W 80 PLUS Titanium redundant power supplies power this system.
With 8x memory channels per CPU socket, each node houses 16x active DIMM slots with both processors installed. The system is compatible with DDR5 Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) and 3DS RDIMM modules. intel Optane Persistent Memory 300 series modules are also supported. The maximum memory configuration for each node is 4TB using 16x 256GB 3DS RDIMM modules. With a single memory modules per memory channel, memory speeds of 4800MHz are compatible with this server.
SATA, SAS, and NVMe drives can be installed on the Gigabyte H263-S62. There are 6x 2.5-inch hot swappable drive bays assigned per node for a total of 24x drive bays across the front of the system. Drive bays are user friendly and intuitive. They can be easily removed and replaced without the use of any tools. For fast access storage, there is a single M.2 slot on each node with a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface that can accept a 2280 or 22110 form factor via an optional riser card.
On each node there is a single low-profile, half-length PCIe x16 Gen5 slot as well as a single OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot with PCIe Gen5 x16 bandwidth for the next generation of add-on cards. The back of each node houses a single RJ-45 MLAN port for direct access to management capabilities. A x4 PCIe 4.0 slot on the system board can be used for an optional M.2 card.
The Gigabyte H263-S62 Server houses 4x nodes with each node supporting up to 2x 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. It supports 16x DIMM slots per node, compatible with DDR5 memory modules for up to 4TB of memory, per node at full capacity.
