The Gigabyte H282-Z60 is a 2U system that houses four nodes and is part of Gigabytes High-Density server lineup. Each of the 4x nodes supports dual CPU sockets compatible with AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 Series Processors. Fully configured to capacity, this system supports a total of 16TB of memory. Each node supports 2x 2.5-inch slim NVMe/SATA hot-swappable HDD/SSD bays.
Designed for Hyperconverged Infrastructure and Hybrid/Private Cloud Server applications, the Gigabyte H282-Z60 supports 3rd Generation AMD EPYC Series processors, codenamed Milan. There are a total of four nodes available on this system, each capable of housing dual processors. Each node has 16x DIMM slots and when fully configured will support up to 4TB of memory. 2x 2.5-inch NVMe/SAATA hot-swappable drive bays are accessible from the front of each node. Accessible from the front of the chassis, each node houses 2x 1GbE LAN ports as well as a dedicated management port. A low-profile half-length PCIe x16 slot is available on each of the server nodes for a total of 4x expansion slots in the chassis.
Rev.A00
Rev.A00 is the initial release of this server with support for 7003 Generation AMD EPYC Series processors (Milan). The configurable Thermal Design Point (cTDP) on this system is limited to 240W. AMD’s 7002 Series processors are also compatible with this system. Processors with up to 64x physical cores and 128x virtual threads can be installed in this server.
Rev.100
Rev.100 is the initial release and support 1st or 2nd Generation AMD EPYC Processors with a TDP of 225W and cTDP up to 240W. The 1st generation processors have a maximum physical core count of 32x physical cores and 64x virtual threads. The 2nd generation processors increase the core count to 64x cores for increased performance.
Dual CPU sockets on each node support 16x DIMM slots with 1x DIMM per channel (DPC) thanks to AMD’s 8-channel memory architecture. DDR4 memory modules with speeds of 2933MHz or 3200MHz are compatible on this system. Standard Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) or Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMM) are supported on this system with a maximum memory capacity of 128GB for up to 2TB of memory, per node. 3rd Generation AMD EPYC processors also allow 3DS RDIMM or LRDIMM modules with a maximum capacity of 256GB per module for up to 4TB of memory at maximum capacity.
Each of server node houses two storage bays. A total of 8x 2.5-inch slim type NVMe/SATA hot-swappable HDD/SSD drive bays are available on the whole system. An additional M.2 slot is also found on each of the 4x server nodes for a total of 4x system-wide.
Each node houses a single low profile, half-length PCIe Gen4 x16 slot on the front for four total on the Gigabyte H282-Z60 chassis. M.2 slots with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface can be found on the system board of each node for OS installation or fast access storage needs. 2280 and 22110 form factor M.2 cards are supported. 1x OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot, per node, with a PCIe Gen4 x16 bandwidth offer an efficient connection to the rest of your IT infrastructure preserving the single low-profile slot in each node for other expansion options.
Gigabyte’s management features are available on this system via the Gigabyte Management Console (AMI MegaRAC SP-X) web console, which comes pre-installed. This grants access to sensors, event logs, remote access, and other important functionality. The Gigabyte Server Manager (GSM) is also provided free of charge and offers more granular features to manage multiple servers or server clusters. The integrated AST2500 management controller provides a web-based GUI for remote system management and is accessed through the dedicated RJ45 management port.
Part of Gigabyte’s high-density server lineup this system supports 4x separate server nodes in a 2U chassis. Each of the 4x nodes on the Gigabyte H282-Z60 holds 1x or 2x AMD EPYC Series processors from the 7002 or 7003 series. Totaling memory support for all 4x server nodes, there is a total of 64x DIMM slots for a maximum memory capacity of up to 16TB. Up to 8x NVMe/SATA hot-swappable drive bays are accessible from the front of the server, with each server node featuring 2x storage bays. Each node also has a single PCIe Gen4 x16 expansion slot for a total of 4x slots on the whole system chassis.
