Powered by 1x AMD EPYC 4004 or AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor, the Gigabyte R123-C00 Server supports file storage, file access via a VPN, and more. A thermal design point (TDP) of up to 105W is supported, but overclocking is not permitted due to thermal limitations. The 4-bay system offers 3.5” or 2.5” hot-swappable SATA drive bay configurations on the front of the chassis. A total of 128GB of memory is supported among 4x DIMM slots, which are compatible with ECC UDIMM and non-ECC UDIMMs. In a 1 DPC configuration, the system can achieve memory speeds of up to 5200 MT/s.
The R123-C00 Server has a total of 3x PCIe slots by way of two different riser cards that are accessible through the rear of the chassis. There is 1x PCIe Gen5 x16 FHHL slot on one card and 2x PCIe Gen4 x4 low-profile slots on another. A PCIe 4.0 x4 slot on the system board supports an NVMe M.2 drive that can be used to boot the system. Also, on the rear of the server there is a single 400W 80 PLUS Gold power supply. However, if installing a 75W GPU a 500W PSU is recommended.
Gigabyte offers two complimentary software tools for platform management. The pre-installed Gigabyte Management Console can manage individual servers, while the Gigabyte Server Manager enables administrators to monitor and control multiple servers. In case of any issues, administrators can check the system’s health status via a browser-based interface.
