Based on the AMD EPYC 8004 series processor, the Gigabyte R143-E32 Server supports a single socket configuration with up to 64 cores and 128 threads. At 1U, the front of the chassis offers a total of 12x storage bays consisting of 8x 2.5” SATA/SAS4 hot-swap bays and 4x 2.5” Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 hot-swap drive bays. At full capacity, it supports up to 1TB of memory.
When all 12x DIMM slots are populated with 96GB DDR5 RDIMMs, the R143-E32 Server supports up to 1TB of memory. In a 1DPC configuration the system can support speeds of up to 4800MHz or up to 3600MHz in a 2 DPC configuration. Designed for networking tasks such as file storage and intranet hosting, the system provides administrators with access to 2x FHHL PCIe Gen5 x16 slots via separate riser cards, along with 2x OCP 3.0 slots offering PCIe Gen5 x16 bandwidth, all accessible from the rear panel. To boot the operating system, the motherboard includes a single M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface compatible with 2280 or 22110 cards. Depending on the model, the server is powered by either a 1300W 80 Plus Platinum or 1300W 80 Plus Titanium power supply.
Gigabyte provides two of its proprietary management tools to monitor the system, at no additional cost. For management and maintenance of a single server or a small cluster, users can deploy the Gigabyte Management Console. This allows administrators to track the system’s real-time performance. For larger environments, the Gigabyte Server Management suite is available for download and allows for the remote management of multiple servers or large server clusters, all accessible over the internet.
