Powered by two 4th or 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 64 cores each, the Gigabyte R183-S91 Server delivers 8x drive bays with different form factors. Four SFF or LFF Gen4 NVMe, SATA, or SAS hot-swappable drive bays line the bottom of the front panel, marked by green tabs. Just above those are 4x SFF 9.5mm Gen4 NVMe, SATA, or SAS hot-swappable drive bays, also marked by smaller green tabs. With both CPUs installed, the R183-S91 server supports 32x DDR5 memory module slots for up to 8TB of memory. This system also supports Intel Optane Persistent 300 series memory modules (PMem).
Designed to power through networking applications, this platform can be used as a shared internet connection, virtual server, and Intranet host. There are 4 revisions: rev. AAD1, rev. AAD2, rev. AAV1, rev. AAV2.
