There are two revisions for the Gigabyte R183-Z90 server, both supporting 2x AMD EPYC 9004 series CPUs. Both support 4x 3.5” or 2.5” drive bays with either Gen4 NVMe, SATA and SAS configurations, depending on the revision. Under the lid, the machine features up to 24x memory module slots, which can support up to 6TB of DDR5 RDIMM memory modules at speeds of up to 4800MHz. Both revisions offer 3x Ultra-Fast NVMe M.2 slots with a PCIe Gen3 interface and dual 1600W (240V) 80 PLUS Platinum redundant power supplies.
As a network appliance, the R183-Z90 system can ideally be used as a virtual server, an intranet host, or file storage server among other business critical workloads. There are 2 revisions of this platform with different storage options.
