The front panel of the 1U chassis can accommodate 4x 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 hot-swappable bays but a SAS card is required to manage SAS devices. There are two M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slots on the Gigabyte R183-ZF0 Server as well.
These CPUs support a maximum of 128 cores, 256 threads, and a cTDP of up to 300W at ambient 30°C. It is possible to get a cTDP of 400W under certain temperature settings. With a 12-channel memory design, AMD's 5nm Zen 4 architecture supports a total of 24x DDR5 memory module slots with 12x memory module slots per CPU. Powered by 1+1 2000W (240V) 80 PLUS Titanium redundant power supplies, the Gigabyte R183-ZF0 Server supports 1x dedicated management port, 1x OCP 3.0 Gen5 x16 slot, 1x FHHL PCIe Gen5 x16 slot, and 2x FHFL PCIe Gen5 x16 slots on the rear of the chassis. When a dual slot GPU is installed, the latter slots become inaccessible. Of the 2x M.2 drives supported on the system board, one slot has the capacity to handle 2280 and 22110 cards, while the other slot is limited to 2280 cards.
The Gigabyte Management Console is pre-installed on every server and may be used for managing and maintaining a single server or a small cluster. After the servers are up and running, the browser-based graphical user interface allows administrators to monitor and manage each server's health in real time. For multiple servers or large clusters, Gigabyte offers the Gigabyte Server Manager, which leverages the Gigabyte Server Console through the Gigabyte Server Manager Agent.
