The single-socket Gigabyte R243-E30 Server supports an AMD EPYC 8004 series processor with up to 64 cores and 128 threads, plus a maximum configurable TDP of 225W. It is capable of delivering Gen5 NVMe, SAS4, and SATA configurations by way of 12x hot-swappable storage bays on the front panel. These drive bays are organized into 4x 3.5"or 2.5" bays supporting Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 and 8x 3.5" or 2.5" bays for SATA/SAS4. A SAS card is required for SAS devices. To boot the operating system, there is 1x M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface on the motherboard, suitable for 2280 and 22110 form factor cards.
The Gigabyte R243-E30 can accommodate up to 1TB of memory when all 12x DIMM slots, with a 6-channel memory architecture, are populated with 96GB RDIMMs running at maximum speeds of 4800 MT/s. For expansion, the server is equipped with 2x PCIe x16 (Gen5 x16) FHHL slots, each mounted on separate riser cards. Power is provided by a redundant 1300W 80 PLUS Titanium or Platinum power supply, depending on the server revision.
Gigabyte R243-E30 (Rev. AAH1)The R243-E30 is designed for a wide range of applications, including file storage web hosting, and use as a hybrid/private cloud server. It can be easily managed using Gigabyte's free management software. The pre-installed Gigabyte Management Console allows for the management of individual servers or small clusters, while the Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) suite is ideal for overseeing large-scale server clusters.
