There are two versions of the Gigabyte R262-ZA0 server, each with a different AMD EPYC series CPU and RAM configuration. Depending on the revision, the single 7nm processor in the 2U rack server can be from the 7001, 7002, or 7003 AMD EPYC series families. This server has a total of 42x 2.5" hot-swappable SSD bays. On the front panel, it has 24x 2.5" SATA/SAS hot-swappable SSD bays, 8x 2.5" SATA/SAS hot-swappable SSD bays and 2x 2.5” Gen4 NVMe hot-swappable bays on the rear, plus 8x 2.5” SATA/SAS internally mounted hot-swappable SSD bays. An additional M.2 slot with a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface can be used to boot the operating system. This machine is powered by dual 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum redundant power supplies.
Up to 4TB of DDR4 memory can be accommodated on the R262-ZA0 server board when 256GB 3DS RDIMMs or 3DS LRDIMMs are installed in all 16x memory module slots. With standard RDIMMs or LRDIMMs, half this quantity is available to you in half. The AMD EPYC-based system can be managed remotely by an Aspeed AST2500 management controller. Power for the R262-ZA0 rack server is delivered by dual 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies (PSU). The AMD EPYC-based system supports 2x FHHL PCIe Gen4 x16 and x8 slots, 1x OCP 2.0 Gen3 x8 mezzanine slot, 1 x OCP 3.0 Gen4 x16 mezzanine slot, and an onboard 12Gb/s SAS expander.
