The 14-bay Gigabyte R263-Z37 Server supports a single AMD EPYC 9005 or 9004 series processor with a cTDP of up to 500W. The front of the platform holds 8x 3.5" SATA or SAS4 drive bays, plus 4x 3.5" Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 bays. All bays are compatible with 2.5-inch form factors. 2x more 2.5” Gen5 NVMe drive bays can be found on the rear of the system. Under the hood, administrators have the option to boot the operating system using a single M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slot fit for 2280 and 22110 form factor cards. A storage card is required to support SATA and SAS drives.
The 2U Gigabyte R263-Z37 is ideal for networking applications. The 12-channel memory architecture supports 12x DDR5 RDIMMs. It supports memory speeds of up to 4800 MT/s when an AMD EPYC 9004 series CPU is installed, but up to 6000 MT/s with a 9005 series CPU. This system is powered by 1+1 1300W 80 PLUS Platinum redundant power supplies. For network expansion, the system features 2x riser cards, each with 1x FHHL x16 (Gen5 x16) slots. In addition, this machine also provides 2x PCIe cables for 2x Gen5 x16 FHHL slots, plus 2x OCP NIC 3.0 Gen5 x16 slots.
There are several options to manage the R263-Z37 server including Gigabyte’s free-of-cost management tools: Gigabyte Server Management and Gigabyte Management Console. Both programs allow administrators to control systems locally and remotely in the event there is a failure. The Gigabyte Management Console comes pre-installed and can manage one server or a small cluster, whereas the Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) suite can oversee multiple systems or a large server cluster.
