Designed for high performance computing, the 2U Gigabyte R283-ZF0 Rack Server is designed for tasks such as AI inference and visual computing. The system board houses 2x LGA 6096 sockets that are compatible with AMD EPYC 9004 Series Processors, including those with 3D V-Cache technology. A total of 24x DIMM slots on the system board can provide up to 6TB of memory at capacity. The storage configuration on this system is 8x 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS4 drive bays paired with 4x 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA/SAS4 drive bays. 4x PCIe Gen5 x16 full-height, full-length expansion slots can be used to support up to 4x Gen5 GPUs.
In addition to the 4x PCIe Gen5 x16 slots for GPUs, there is a full-height, half-length slot and a OCP 3.0 mezzanine card slot for additional expansion options. Housed in a 2U chassis, the Gigabyte R283-ZF0 server can be populated with up to 2x AMD 4th Gen EPYC series processors with up to 128 physical cores and 256 virtual threads, per CPU. with 12x DDR5 DIMM slots per CPU, there are 24x DIMM slots total supporting memory speeds of up to 4800MT/s. To meet fast access storage needs or OS installation, there are 2x M.2 drive slots on the motherboard.
Powering this system are dual 2700W 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies in a redundant configuration. To keep temperatures regulated within the chassis, there are 4x 80mm fans and a single 40mm fan. A dedicated GbE management port on the back of the system can be used to manage the system remotely using Gigabytes proprietary management software or other third-party software suites that are IPMI 2.0 or Redfish compatible.
