Your choice of processor will determine the number of cores supported as Intel Xeon 6500 and 6700 CPUs with P-cores support up to 86 cores and a TDP of up to 350W. With efficient, or E-cores, CPUs will range up to 144 cores and up to 330W TDP. MCR memory is only compatible with Intel Xeon 6 CPUs with P-cores and only in a 1x DIMM per channel (1DPC) configuration. Memory speed is also dependent on the installed CPUs, configuration, and installed memory modules, with the system defaulting to the slowest performer.

In addition to the up front and rear storage, there are 2x PCIe Gen5 x4 slots on the system board for NVMe M.2 drives, plus 1x PCIe 5.0 x2 slot for a SATA controller card. There are 2x FHHL dual slot PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and 2x FHHL single-slot PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for expansion. A storage card is required to support both SATA and SAS. The system is powered by dual redundant 2000W 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies.

For managing the system, Gigabyte offers the Gigabyte Management Console, which comes pre-loaded on all Gigabyte servers free-of-charge. It allows for maintenance and management through an industry standard integrated platform management interface (IPMI), for a server or small cluster. For managing large groups of servers or large clusters, Gigabyte offers the Gigabyte Server Management (GSM) utility. It enables management of the system from a standard Internet browser and complies with Redfish and IPMI standards. It includes a complete range of management functions, providing real-time remote control and offers VMware vCenter with the GSM Plugin.
