At 2U, the Infortrend EonStor GS 4024U Storage features 24x 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSDs on the front panel with a maximum logical drive capacity of 512TB. The critical parts of the hybrid system controllers are Intel Xeon D 6-core processors, capable of accommodating 48GB to 384GB of cache memory. Additionally, a flash module and a super capacitor are used by the system as part of its cache backup mechanism in case of a power outage.
The EonStor GS 4024U supports 100GbE remote direct memory access (RDMA) and PCIe 4.0, delivering up to 1100K IOPS and 24/12 GB/s in throughput for extremely demanding applications. The rear of the EonStor GS 4024U features dual controllers, each with an Ethernet management port, a mini-USB connector, and two onboard SAS extension connectors. Likewise, there are 2x redundant 80 PLUS Bronze certified 530W power supply units located on the back.
To increase performance, data protection, and capacity, up to 4x GS units can be connected to a JBOD expansion system, enabling up to 896 drives in a scale-out configuration. Meanwhile, a cluster can scale-up to 3584 drives. Operating platforms including Windows Server, OpenStack Cinder, macOS X, and Citrix XenServer are supported. The EonOne software suite from Infortrend does, however, also offer independent administration. Cloud providers that EonCloud Gateway can integrate with include Alibaba Cloud, Baidu Cloud, Google Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, and Wasabi Cloud. The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) or email can be used to send notifications.
