With a maximum logical drive capacity of 512TB, the 48-bay Infortrend EonStor GS 4048U Storage appliance supports 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSDs on the front panel. Outfitted with dual controllers, each controller supports Intel Xeon D 6-core CPUs in the 4U hybrid system can support 48GB to 384GB of cache memory. The system also uses a super capacitor and a flash module in the event of a power outage as part of its cache backup technique. Notifications in this event can be sent through email or the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
For exceptionally demanding applications, the EonStor GS 4048U supports PCIe 4.0 and 100GbE RDMA in the host board expansion slots, providing up to 1100K IOPS and 24/12 GB/s in throughput. Each controller on the back of the EonStor GS 4048U features an Ethernet management port, a mini-USB connector, and 2x onboard SAS extension connectors and two optional host board slots. Two 530W power supply units that are certified as 80 PLUS Bronze provide redundant backup.
A JBOD expansion system can enable up to 896 drives, to improve performance, data security, and capacity. Via scale-out per cluster, with other Series appliances this platform can provide a maximum capacity of 3584 drives. Supported operating systems include Windows Server, Citrix XenServer, OpenStack Cinder, and macOS X. However, Infortrend's EonOne software suite also provides administration, monitoring, and auto balancing. Alibaba Cloud, Baidu Cloud, Google Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, and Wasabi Cloud are among the cloud providers that EonCloud Gateway is able to communicate with.
