Designed for edge applications, the Lenovo ThinkEdge SE360 V2 Edge Server provides a single socket for an Intel Xeon D-2700 processor with up to 16 cores and a maximum TDP of up to 100W. The 2U system supports a maximum of 256GB of memory when all 4x slots are populated with 64GB Lenovo TruDDR4 RDIMMs running at 3200MHz. Since the half-width edge server is considerably smaller than a traditional rack server, it can be placed on a shelf, ceiling mount, or mounted on a wall.
The Lenovo SE360 V2 edge server is designed to handle a wide range of workloads such as augmented reality, machine learning, online gaming, smart surveillance, and more. It can handle temperature changes from 0-55°C as well as high dust and vibration environments. This system also supports extreme extended temperature -20~65°C with certain configurations and with marine certification.
There are several storage configurations on the ThinkEdge SE360 V2 via riser cages referred to as “wings.” There are 7x types of riser cage options that either supply a 7mm backplane, PCIe slot, M.2 adapter, or space for geo-tracking. Drives can be installed in the left wing or right wing of the riser cage and a M.2 adapter at the bottom. The system can support a total of up to 8x NVMe M.2 data drives. The following storage options are available:
The SE360 V2 server features 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 slots: 1x PCIe Gen4 x16 HHHL (75W) and 1x PCIe Gen4 x16 FHHL (150W) slot. These are suitable for the NVIDIA A2, NVIDIA L4, Intel® Data Center GPU Flex 140, and Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 accelerators. The system can be cooled by 2x non-hot-swap 80mm fans and offers 3x different PSU options:
The SE350 V2 is equipped with the XClarity Controller 2 (XCC2) for system monitoring. For enhanced functionality, users can upgrade to XCC2 Platinum, which adds remote control capabilities, virtual media mounting (ISO and IMG files), boot capture, power capping, and more. Platinum also introduces advanced features such as System Guard, new security modes including CNSA-compliant operation, support for FIPS 140-3 and NIST 800-193 standards, and a new Neighbor Group feature for streamlined device management.
