The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR250 V2 server provides versatility with its range of storage options, GPU compatibility, and TruDDR4 memory configurations. The short-depth rack platform is powered by a single Intel Xeon E-2300 series processor with up to 8 cores and a 95W TDP. Conversely, it can also be outfitted with 1x Intel Pentium G6405/G6505/G6605 processor with 2 cores and a 46W TDP. Delivering up to 128GB when all 4x UDIMM slots are populated, this system can tackle a number of demanding workloads.
Designed for web serving, virtualization, edge applications, and more, the ThinkSystem SR250 V2 server supports a single GPU with either an NVIDIA T1000 8GB PCIe Active GPU or NVIDIA T400 4GB PCIe Active GPU. It’s important to note that memory speeds differ depending on the CPU installed. The server is capable of 3200MHz with Xeon E-2300 processors as opposed to 2666MHz with Pentium processors. The system supports 2x M.2 SATA drives installed in an M.2 PCIe adapter to boot the OS using VROC RAID for redundancy. These slots support 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 form factor cards.
The back of this entry-level server features 1x fixed 300W power supply or 2x hot-swap 450W redundant power supplies. With 3x expansion slots, Administrators have options for storage controllers, additional NICs and or a GPU. At 1U, the SR250 V2 server offers up to 10x 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays supporting SAS/SATA configurations.

A USB 2.0 port on the front panel supports the Lenovo XClarity Controller, a management app that helps with advanced service processor control, monitoring, and alerting functions. Another software utility, the XClarity Administrator, provides a comprehensive set of hardware tools to help increase productivity and reduce downtime. XClarity also provides a provisioning manager, and energy manager to ensure you’re running the latest firmware and BIOS while keeping power costs under control.
