The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR250 V3 server has been optimized for small-to-medium-sized businesses, retail stores, or distributed enterprises. It supports a single Intel Xeon E-2400 series processor with up to 8 cores and a 95W TDP, or an Intel Pentium G7400/G7400T with 2 cores and a TDP of 46W. The 1U system is a short-depth chassis that can house 1x NVIDIA T1000 8GB PCIe Active GPU or NVIDIA T400 4GB PCIe Active GPU. In addition, the system supports up to 128GB of memory when all 4x slots are filled with 32GB UDIMM memory modules. Both Intel Xeon and Intel Pentium CPUs generate memory speeds up to 4800MHz.
The back of the chassis features 1x fixed 300W power supply or 2x hot-swap 450W redundant power supplies. The front panel's USB 2.0 port allows for the deployment of XClarity, a management software app, which assists with local managing, monitoring, and alerting features. On the rear, there are 2x integrated Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-T ports (RJ-45) based on the Broadcom BCM5720 embedded controller. One can be shared with the Lenovo XClarity Controller (XCC) for remote system management. XClarity uses the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI 2.0) or the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP3), among others.
