A single AMD EPYC 9004 “Genoa” CPU with up to 96 cores and 360W can be installed in the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR635 V3, a 1-socket 1U server. Administrators can use a variety of storage combinations including up to 10x 2.5” hot-swap frontal drive bays with SAS, SATA, NVMe or AnyBay configurations. It can also support up to 16x EDSFF bays. These drives offer the bandwidth and storage speed for data intensive applications like AI, virtualization, and software defined storage (SDS). Additionally, 2x 2.5” hot-swap drives or 2x 7mm drives on the rear are optional.
With the ability to support PCIe Gen5 slots, DDR5 memory modules, and more, this system is the ideal choice for business and infrastructure applications that can benefit today’s workloads and easily scale up or down as needed. 12x DDR5 memory module slots support a maximum of 1.5TB of RAM and speeds of up to 4800MHz when 128GB 3DS RDIMMs are installed. Under the hood, the ThinkSystem SR635 V3 supports up to 4x single-width GPUs, with 3x in the rear slots and 1x in the front slot, each with up to 75W for significant processing power in a 1U system. These GPUs are only supported with 4x 2.5-inch front drive bays. An internal M.2 module supporting up to 2x M.2 drives can be used to boot the system. This machine provides up to 5x PCIe 4.0 slots or up to 2x PCIe 5.0 slots. A 400GbE network connection can be supported using a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot's 128 GB/s capacity. Lenovo ThinkShield offers security, and XClarity facilitates management with an intuitive platform and a single dashboard to see activity. It also has security measures like hardware monitoring for unforeseen additions and modifications.
