With 2.5” hot-swap drives, up to 40x SAS/SATA, NVMe, and AnyBay drives can be installed in the Lenovo SR665 V3 by using combinations of 24 front-accessible bays, 8 mid-chassis bays, and 8 rear-accessible drive bays. Alternatively, 3.5” chassis configurations can accommodate 20x drive bays for lower cost, high-capacity HDD storage. Powered by dual 4th generation AMD EPYC processors with up to 96 Zen 4 cores and a TDP of up to 360W, the ThinkSystem SR665 V3 delivers significant performance improvements over previous generations. This system supports up to 24x TruDDR5 memory slots with a maximum of 6TB of RAM when using 256GB 3DS DDR5 RDIMMs. Memory speeds can reach up to 4400MHz.
The server is best suited for intensive tasks that can benefit from up to 8x single-width GPUs or 3x double-wide GPUs. Lenovo's management software, XClarity, enables administrators to keep tabs on hardware and make specific adjustments if necessary. The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 server also features an internal M.2 module supporting up to 2x M.2 drives and 2x external 7mm hot-swap drives for more storage or to boot the operating system. Offering up to 10x PCIe slots, the chassis has flexible expansion options all with rear access. This dual-socket, 2U platform, supports 30 different drive bay configurations in the front, middle and rear of the server and 6 different slot configurations at the rear of the server. An internal mount supports a cabled RAID adapter or HBA. There is also a dedicated slot for the OCP 3.0 mezzanine adapter. Up to 9x slots can be PCIe 5.0 and the remaining slot is reserved for PCIe 4.0.
