The Lenovo ThinkSystem ST50 V2 tower server is a compact system built for discreet placement on desks or under desks in various settings, including businesses, retail, remote/branch or home office. With whisper-quiet acoustics, its 17-liter chassis is optimized to provide enterprise-class features, including an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 PCIe Active GPU for complex graphic processing. It is equipped with 1x Intel Xeon E-2300 or 1x Intel Pentium CPU with up to 8 cores.
When all 4x DIMM slots are filled with 32GB memory modules, the ThinkSystem ST50 V2 tower server supports up to 128GB of Lenovo TruDDR4 UDIMM memory achieving speeds of up to 3200MHz. The server features 3x non-hot-swap drive bays—2x for 3.5-inch drives and 1x for a 2.5-inch drive—allowing for flexible internal storage options with both hard disk drives and solid-state drives. Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) is supported along with other hardware RAID support. In addition to the front facing drives, the system also accommodates a single NVMe M.2 drive to boot the operating system. 3x PCIe slots for I/O expansion can be accessed through the rear of the chassis, one of which is equipped with a PCIe Gen4 x16 interface to maximize I/O performance. The other two slots are PCIe Gen3, with the X16 PCIe slot reverting to PCIe Gen3 with a Pentium processor installed.
This tower server features 1x fixed power supply, available in either 300W Gold or 500W Platinum ratings. For system management, administrators can deploy Lenovo’s XClarity Provisioning Manager Lite, which simplifies setup and facilitates firmware upgrades. Additionally, Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) helps saves time and cut costs by monitoring system health and preventing data disruptions.
