Sitting directly between the GeForce RTX 3070 and the GeForce RTX 3080, is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card. It is powered by NVIDIA’s 2nd generation Ampere architecture and part of the RTX 30-series. Built with enhanced 2nd gen RT Cores and 3rd generation Tensor Cores, it also features new streaming multiprocessors and ultra-fast GDDR6X memory. This GPU is not only able to rip through the most demanding games, but it’s also a powerhouse when it comes to creating.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is designed with the same Ampere graphics architecture as the rest of the RTX 30-series graphics cards. It features the GA104 GPU variant built on an 8nm process with support for DirectX 12 Ultimate, DLSS, G-SYNC, Omniverse, and more. The high-end GPU offers 6,144 CUDA cores, compared to the 5,888 on the RTX 3070, and is able to quickly render games and projects. The graphics card delivers 48 RT cores, 96 Tensor cores, plus 8GB of GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit bus to meet the most demanding workloads at 1440p and 4K formats. It can support up to 4x displays with an HDMI port and 3x DisplayPort sockets.
Using a 256-bit memory interface running at 1188 MHz or 19 Gbps, the RTX 3070 Ti supports up to 8GB of GDDR6X memory. Since the maximum memory tops off at 8GB, the new cooling design functions better and keeps the GPU cool for smooth performance.
With a 290W TDP rating, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has an updated cooling mechanism. Although it’s a bit shorter than the RTX 3080 Ti but bigger than the RTX 3070, the 3070TI has a single fan on both sides of the card. This allows a flow-through cooling system pulling air through the bottom of the case, through the card, and exiting the top of the case. Just like the other cards in the 30-series, NVIDIA uses a 12-pin single power connector, but does include a dual 8-pin to 12-pin adapter.
The high-end NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti GPU delivers a 1440p gaming experience that can reach 4K resolution with ease. The Ampere-based graphics card offers 6,144 CUDA cores, 48 RT cores, 96 Tensor cores and 8GB of GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit bus to take on the most demanding applications.
