With 12x 3.5-inch drive bays up front, the 2U Seagate Exos AP 2U12 Storage Server can accept either 12x 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives. Up to 8x total EBOD chassis can be connected to grow with small to mid-sized businesses in any industry. At full capacity it can support up to 216TB per chassis when using 18TB drives. Single or dual M.2 NVMe SSDs are also available to boot the operating system, with 2x drives providing redundancy. One or 2x AP-BV-1 controllers each support a single 2nd generation AMD EPYC CPU with 8, 12, or 16 cores. Up to 4x DDR4 DIMMs with a maximum of 256GB of RAM and memory rates of up to 3200MHz are supported by each controller. Each controller also features dual ports for 10 or 25GbE I/O.
With 216TB of data capacity, the Exos AP 2U12 storage server offers high-performance computing and cutting-edge mass storage in a single system. It delivers data with 7Gb/s reads and 5.5Gb/s writes, plus dual 12Gb/s SAS controllers. Under the hood, there is 1x low-profile, half-length PCIe Gen4 x16 slot and 1x OCP v2.0 Gen4 x8 slot, in addition to dual 12G x4 mini-SAS HD external expansion ports. Dual redundant 764W 80 PLUS Gold or Platinum PSUs are found on the rear of the platform.
