Seagate Exos E storage enclosures deliver a modern SAS-3 interface with throughput of up to 28.8GB/s using dual controllers, or half that with a single controller. This appliance uses Seagate’s latest storage drives, plus dual PCMs and dual data paths to all drives for speed and continuous up-time. The 2U Seagate Exos E 2U24 features 24x 2.5-inch drive bays up front for a capacity of up to 57.6TB of storage, per chassis, using 2.4TB 2.5-inch SAS drives.
With speed of data transfers defined by controllers housed in the host interface, the Seagate Exos E 2U24 can have up to three x4 12Gb/s mini-SAS HD connectors per I/O module. With the ability to attach up to 6 enclosures, this system offers extended bunch of disks (EBOD) capabilities allowing Administrators to easily increase storage capacity as needed. Management is through 2x 1GbE connectors. This system is a key building block for modular systems and is ideal for use in backup and recovery plus big data, video surveillance and high-performance computing applications. The system is powered by dual redundant 580W 80 PLUS Gold or 80 PLUS Platinum PSUs.
