The Seagate Exos X 2U12 advanced storage array delivers incredibly effective mass-capacity storage for traditional data centers and cloud architecture. This is a petabyte-scale enclosure with Autonomous Drive Regeneration (ADR) self-healing technology, superior data security, and software value. At 2U, the system supports up to 12x SSDs or HDD drives with either 2.5” or 3.5” form factors and SAS or NL-SAS configurations. It is an ideal storage option for businesses that require more room to save data because Administrators can connect 10 enclosures for a total of 120 drives. Based on 2x Seagate 4006 VELOSCT controllers per enclosure the platform supports up to 12GB/s read throughput, 10GB/s write throughput, and 725K IOPS.
Powered by two redundant 580W hot-swap PSUs, the system delivers 48GB system memory per system with 1024 volumes per system, making it the industry standard for storage managers wanting administration simplicity, petabyte capacity, advanced functionality, and data protection solutions. The memory offers a mirror cache, supercapacitor cache backup, and a nonvolatile cache backup to flash. Ideal for high-performance compute, video surveillance, big data analytics, plus backup and recovery, the Exos X 2U12 server features a 10GBASE-T Ethernet, fibre channel, iSCUSI, and SAS models and 4x external ports per controller for a total of 8x per system.
