The Supermicro A+ Server 1024US-TNR is an enterprise server built for virtualization and cloud computing with flexible networking options. At 1U, this system supports 4x front mounted 3.5” hot-swap drive bays and support for dual AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 series processors. With 32x memory module slots, it can provide up to 8TB of memory.
Outfitted with two AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 series processors, the Supermicro A+ Server 1024US-TNR system supports SATA drive formats by default but can also support NVMe or SAS with minimal modification. Designed for high-performance computing applications, this system can deliver up to 8TB of DDR4 memory with speeds up to 3200MHz. * This system is only sold as a completely assembled unit with a minimum of 2x CPUs, 4x DIMMs, and 1x HDD/NVMe drive. For optimal performance, 16 DIMMs is recommended.
The Server 1024US-TNR supports dual AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 series processors. In addition, the server is also compatible with AMD EPYC 7003 series processors with 3D V-Cache Technology and running BIOS version 2.3 or newer. Processors with a thermal design point (TDP) of up to 280W and up to 64 physical cores and 128 virtual threads can be installed. 8x memory channels are supported by each processor for maximum memory density. The platform also supports 8x 4cm counter rotating fans to cool the internal components. The counter-rotating motion of the fans produce superior air flow and also helps to reduce vibration levels.
Up to 8TB of ECC DDR4 RDIMM memory can be installed on the Supermicro A+ 1024US-TNR motherboard with 256GB DDR4 modules in all 32x memory module slots. With 8x memory channels per processor, and 16x memory module slots, 2x DIMMs can be installed per memory channel. These 288-pin gold-plated DIMMs also offer speeds of up to 3200MHz.
By default, the 1024US-TNR server supports 4x hot-swap 3.5” SATA3 front mounted drive bays. With the appropriate optional kits, administrators can configure the system with 4x NVMe drives using an optional drive tray, or 4x SAS3 drives via an optional SAS kit. There are also 2x SATA DOM (Disk on Module) power connectors on the system board.
This system can host up to 4x PCIe 4.0 slots with the optional Ultra Riser Card that enables an additional internal proprietary, low-profile slot (LP). Without the Ultra Riser Card the A+ 1024US-TNR system has one low-profile card, as well as two full-height, full-length x16 PCIe 4.0 slots. The system can also support a single NVIDIA Tesla T4 GPU.
To manage this system, the Supermicro SuperDoctor 5 (SD5) supports as a web-based user interface to monitor CPU temperature, system voltages, fan speed, and power consumption among other things. If an issue occurs, the program can be configured to send alerts to administrators via email or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). SD5 comes in remote or local management versions, which can be accessed through the RJ45 Dedicated IPMI LAN port on the back of the server.
The Supermicro A+ Server 1024US-TNR system delivers powerful performance for Virtualization, cloud computing, and for use as an enterprise server with dual AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 series processors. In addition, the server is also compatible with AMD EPYC 7003 series processors with AMD 3D V-Cache Technology offering 3x the cache for highly technical workloads. With up to 8TB of memory when all 32x DIMMs are populated, this unit also supports 4x drive bays with SATA drive formats, plus optional SAS or NVMe configurations.
