At 1U, the Supermicro A+ Server 1114CS-TNR supports 10x hot-swap 2.5” SATA3 drive bays, but can also be configured to support SAS3 or NVMe drives via an additional SAS/NVMe kit. The system also supports 2x PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots on the system board, which can accommodate 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 form factor cards. Featuring a single AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003 CPU with up to 64 cores and a TDP of up to 280W, the system is also compatible with AMD 3D V-Cache technology to power through heavy workloads like financial services, cloud computing, and deep learning inference. With 16X memory module slots, it can support up to 4TB of RAM and speeds of up to 3200 MHz.
To power the platform, the Supermicro A+ Server 1114CS-TNR has dual redundant 860W Platinum level power supplies. The 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 (FHHL) slots can be accessed through the rear of the chassis, as well as 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 AIOM networking slots. The system can be administered both at-chassis and remotely via Supermicro Update Manager (SUM), SuperDoctor 5, IPMI 2.0, and Watchdog. Only a fully assembled system is available for this product. Although 8 DIMMs are recommended for maximum performance, the bare minimum specifications include 1x CPU, 4x DIMMs, 1x HDD/NVMe, and 1x AIOM/AOC NIC card. The system can also be outfitted with up to 2x 70W GPUs including the NVIDIA T4. Key applications include financial services, deep learning and inference, content delivery networks (CDN), cloud computing plus private cloud, and use as a general network appliance.
