Powered by first- or second-generation AMD EPYC processors, the Supermicro A+ server 1123US-TN10RT is an all-flash server. It features 10x hot-swap U.2 NVMe drive bays and up to 8TB of memory when all 32x memory modules are installed. The server also supports two 10GBase-T LAN ports, as opposed to four Gigabit LAN ports on the AS-1123US-TR4 server.
The AS-1123US-TN10RT platform is a high-end enterprise server ideal for virtualization and cloud computing. It supports dual AMD EPYC processors from the 7001 or 7002 series and packs 32x DIMMS with memory speeds of up to 3200MHz, all in a 1U chassis. Memory speeds will vary depending on which CPU series is installed.
*The Supermicro A+ Server 1123US-TN10RT is only sold as a completely assembled system with a minimum of 2 CPUs, 4 DIMMs, and 1 NVMe HDD drive. For optimal performance, 16 DIMMs and at least 24/32 cores per CPU are recommended.
This system supports dual 1st or 2nd generation AMD EPYC processors under the hood. AMD EPYC 7001 series CPUs can be deployed with up to 32 cores and 64 threads, while 7002 series CPUs can support up to 64 cores and 128 threads. Each processor has 16x DIMM slots for a total of 32x active DIMMs with both processors installed.
Supermicro’s dual-socket H11 motherboard supports 32x memory module slots and up to 8TB of registered (RDIMM) DDR4 SDRAM when 7002 processors are installed. Second-generation CPUs offer memory speeds of up to 3200MHz, while first-generation CPUs offer a slower speed of up to 2666MHz. AMD EPYC 7001 series processors also support less memory with only 4TB of RDIMM DDR4 SDRAM. All memory types have error-correction code to correct single-bit errors and detect double-bit errors.
The AMD EPYC platform has 10x hot-swap 2.5” U.2 NVMe drive bays on the front panel for improved speed a data resiliency. As an all-flash system, it supports the demands of highly-intensive applications. The Supermicro 1123US-TN10RT server also supports up to two M.2 SSD cards on a riser card, with some restrictions. One M.2 socket supports PCIe and the other supports SATA. Several M.2 lengths are supported including: 42mm, 60mm, 80mm, and 110 mm.
The system accepts one full-height, full-length expansion card and one low profile card mounted on a riser card and riser bracket. The low-profile slot may be used for a Supermicro SAS controller card. Both expansion slots are compatible with PCIe 3.0. The system also features 2x integrated 10Gb LAN ports on the back of the system with a dedicated RJ45 integrated platform management interface (IPMI) LAN port.
Supermicro’s SuperDoctor 5 is one of the management software programs that can be deployed at-chassis or remotely. Administrators are able to see a detailed report for fans, temperatures, voltages, and more. There’s also an option to issue email alerts and remote power controls. The dedicated RJ45 management port on the back of the system provides for remote management of the system through a standard browser.
The Supermicro A+ Server 1123US-TN10RT is a high-end enterprise platform well suited for virtualization and cloud computing with flexible networking options. The dual AMD EPYC processors, from either the 7001 or 7002 series, leverage the high-performance technology Supermicro has installed in the chassis. With support for up to 8TB of memory when all 32x DIMMs are populated, plus the all-flash NVMe drive bays on the front of the system, this chassis can support businesses today with flexibility to meet future business goals.
