The AMD EPYC-based Supermicro A+ Server 2014CS-TR houses 12x hot-swap 3.5” SATA3 drive bays, or 8x SATA3 and 4x NVMe drives with optional cables, or 12x SAS3 drives via an optional SAS kit. 2x optional 2.5” peripheral drives can be installed on the back of the chassis with a rear drive bay kit. The 2U platform is powered by a single AMD EPYC processor from the 2nd or 3rd generation with up to 64 cores and a TDP of up to 280W. CPUs featuring AMD 3D V-Cache technology are also supported.
Ideal for financial services, cloud computing, deep learning inference, and more, the Supermicro 2014CS-TR supports up to 4TB of memory with 16x DDR4 DIMM slots. It comes equipped with dual redundant 920W Platinum level power supplies, plus 3x middle cooling fans. Redfish API, Supermicro Update Manager (SUM), SuperDoctor 5 (SD5), Super Diagnostics Offline, and IPMI 2.0 can all be used to manage the system locally and remotely. There are 4x full-height PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, plus 2x advanced I/O module (AIOM) mezzanine card slots, one with a x8 slot and the other with a x16 slot. Two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots on the system board can be outfitted with NVMe M.2 drives and used to boot the system in a mirrored RAID1. This platform will also support 2x 70W GPUs, including the NVIDIA T4.
