With liquid cooling added, each CPU may offer up to 144 cores and 144 threads, a maximum TDP of 330W, and a cache of up to 108MB. Air cooled components support a TDP of up to 205W. With a total of 24x drive bays up front, 6x hot-swap E3.S 1T PCIe 5.0 NVMe bays are assigned per node.
In addition to the storage on the front panel of the BigTwin SuperServer 222BT-HNR, there are 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe slots per node located on the server board to boot the operating system. When all 16x DIMM slots are filled with 256GB DDR5 RDIMMs, up to 4TB of memory can be achieved per node supporting a maximum speed up to 6400MT/s. This server is optimal for diskless HPC clusters, container-as-a-service; application accelerator, and use in an all-flash NVMe hyperconverged infrastructure.
The system's back panel has dual 3600W Redundant (1 + 1) Titanium Level (96%) power supplies spaced between all 4x nodes. A single OCP 3.0 compatible PCIe 5.0 x16 AIOM slot and 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots are provided by each BigTwin 222BT-HNR node. Numerous software programs such as Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), Super Diagnostics Offline (SDO), SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Think-Agent Service (TAS), and SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA) can be used to help Administrators manage this system.
