The Supermicro FatTwin SuperServer F511E2-RT is a 4U rackmountable system, which house 8x compute nodes. Each node house a single 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable socket for a total of 8x across the whole system. There are 16x DIMM slots per node for up to 4TB of DDR5 memory. With all servers at maximum memory capacity, the system can provide up to 32TB of memory. 6x 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe/SATA/SAS drive bays on the front of each server node provide a total of 48x drive bays on this chassis. The Supermicro F511E2-RT can have its capabilities expanded via a single PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile per node, a total of 8x PCIe 5.0 slots on the whole system.
Featuring 8x compute nodes, the Supermicro FatTwin F511E2-RT is designed for Hyperscale / Hyperconverged applications, High-Performance Computing and Big Data, and Telco Data Center tasks. In addition to the single low-profile PCIe 5.0 slot, there are 2x Advanced I/O Module (AIOM) slots compatible with OCP 3.0 mezzanine cards. 2x hybrid PCIe 3.0 x2 and SATA slots for support of Hybrid M.2 drives types. This system is powered by 4x 2000W Titanium Level power supplies in a redundant configuration.
NOTE: this product is sold only as a completely assembled system with 1x CPU and a maximum TDP of 350W. Under specific conditions higher wattage CPUs are supported.
