The Supermicro FatTwin SuperServer F619H6-FT Server is a high-density system that holds four hot-swappable nodes. Part of Supermicro’s FatTwin Server family, each node has a dual socket configuration that can support either 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. Each CPU supports six DIMM slots for a total of 12 on each node, and up to 3TB of memory. Each node also supports 12x internal fixed 3.5-inch drive bays.
A total of four server nodes can be installed onto the 4U chassis of the Supermicro F619H6-FT Server. Each of those nodes are powered by a dual Intel Xeon Scalable processor configuration. Per node, there are 12x 3.5-inch drive bays for a total of 48x across the whole chassis if every drive bay has been populated. With high density storage coupled with dual processors and up to 3TB of memory per server node, this system is ideal for big data, analytics, and in-memory database like Hadoop.
The F619H6-FT Server features the X11 generation motherboard that supports 1st and 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Each processor supports 6x memory channels and 48x PCIe 3.0 lanes. The system is powered by two 2200W Redundant Power Supplies with PMBus operating in a 1+1 redundancy.
Each node has 12x DIMM slots divided between the 2x processors that support DDR4 Registered (RDIMM) and Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory configurations for up to 3TB of memory at maximum capacity. The Supermicro SuperServer F619H6-FT also supports Intel Optane data centric persistent memory modules (DCPMM). The LRDIMM and RDIMM modules have speeds of 2933, 2666, 24000, 2133 MHz.
Drive bays on this system are found internally on each node. 12x drive bays per node are fixed to the motherboard and support 3.5-inch SATA3 drive bays. Two M.2 PCIe x4 slots on the motherboard for support of the OS are found on each node.
Each node offers one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (low-profile), one PCIe 3.0 x8 slot (low-profile), and one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (SIOM). The dedicated slot for the Supermicro I/O Module (SIOM) allows for flexible I/O options that won’t impact your available PCIe slots. Each expansion card must be plugged into a riser card connected to the X11 motherboard.
The F619H6-FT Server is managed using software such as the Intel Node Manager, Intelligent Platform Management Interface 2.0, and SuperDoctor 5. SuperDoctor 5 features impressive functionality such as CPU temperature indicator, system power consumption, and fan speed. Alerts can be set to be emailed to your company’s IT Administrator.
Built for enterprise applications, the Supermicro FatTwin SuperServer F619H6-FT falls into the Supermicro FatTwin family. Each of the 4x nodes features dual Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs from either the 1st or 2nd generation, plus up to 12x3.5-inch drives per node for some high-density storage. With each node at capacity the system can support up to 48x 3.5-inch drives, plus up to 12TB of memory in a 4U chassis.
