Those CPU support 8x AMD Instinct MI300X GPU Accelerators with Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) featuring a 1:1 GPU to NIC ratio for unrivaled throughput. Each CPU socket supports 12x DIMM slots, for a total memory capacity of up to 6TB of DDR5 RDIMMs or LRDIMMs. The storage configuration on this server supports 18x 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe/SATA drive bays, total. 8x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots are compatible with 8x AMD MI300X GPUs.

There are a total of 24x DIMM slots on the system board, compatible with Registered DIMMs or Load Reduced DIMMs. Fully configured, the maximum memory capacity on the Supermicro 8125GS-TNMR2 is up to 6TB. Powering this system, there are 6x 3000W Titanium level power supplies in a redundant configuration with an option to install 2x more. Storage solutions on this system include a total of 18x 2.5-inch drive bays accessible from the front of the server. Depending on application needs, the system can be configured with dedicated Gen5 NVMe drives in all 18 bays or with 16x 2.5-inch NVMe plus 2x hot-swap SATA drives. Additional hard drive controllers may be required to activate all drive bays.
In order to meet fast access storage needs or OS installation, there is a single M.2 NVMe drive slot on the system board as well. System expansion is achieved via 8x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots and 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, full-length slots. Administrators have the option to activate 2x more optional x16 slots. The Instinct MI300X GPUs reside on a separate pull-out drawer and are connected to the CPUs via PLX switch. With 8x network interface controllers (NICs) installed, the system offers a 1:1 ratio of NICs to GPUs with remote direct memory access. The MI300X GPUs are based on the CDNA3 architecture and have a maximum dedicated memory of 192GB.
