The Supermicro GrandTwin SuperServer 211GT-HNTR is a 2U server supporting 4x nodes, each with 6x hot-swap 2.5-inch NVMe or SATA drive bays. These nodes feature a single socket for a 5th and 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor. Depending on the CPU generation, up to 64 cores and 128 threads are offered, including a TDP of up to 350W when air cooled. With all 16x memory module slots filled, each node offers up to 4TB of DDR5 RDIMM memory.
Aside from the drive bays on the front of the server, the Supermicro GrandTwin 211GT-HNTR supports 2x M.2 NVMe Gen4 or SATA slots on each node. Similarly, there are 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots on each node as well as 2x Advanced I/O Modules (AIOM). The rear of the Supermicro 211GT-HNTR features an I/O panel and 2200W redundant Titanium Level (96%) power supplies.
Among the software tools available to administrators for managing the 211GT-HNTR are Supermicro’s SuperCloud Composer, SuperServer Manager, SuperServer Automation Assistant, and SuperDoctor 5 (SD5). With its web and command-line interfaces for Windows and Linux, SuperDoctor 5 can keep an eye on important system variables including CPU temperature, voltage levels, fan speed, and power consumption. By notifying users via email or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) in the event of an issue, it also assists clients in keeping track of the condition of their system.
