The supported Intel Xeon 9600 CPU features P-Cores and is limited to a thermal design power (TDP) rating of up to 500W. This allows CPUs with up to 128 cores and 256 threads, per node. With 12-channel memory architecture, the Supermicro GrandTwin 212GT-DNAF supports up to 3TB of DDR5 memory across 12x DIMM slots with 1x DIMM per Channel (1DPC). RDIMMs deliver speeds of up to 6400 MT/s, while MRDIMMs can achieve up to 8800 MT/s.

Each node features 4x front-accessible 2.5-inch hot-swap NVMe drive bays, supporting PCIe 5.0 x4 for high-speed storage. Additionally, there are 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe slots (M-key, 22110 by default / 2280), with VROC required for RAID functionality. For expansion, the system offers up to 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height slots, 1x optional AIOM slot, and support for up to 64x internal CXL 2.0 x16 devices (Type 1, Type 2, or Type 3). Power is delivered through dual 2200W or 3000W redundant (1+1) Titanium-level (96% efficiency) power supplies.

Among the software tools available to administrators for managing the Supermicro 212GT-DNAF are Supermicro’s SuperCloud Composer, SuperServer Manager, and SuperServer Automation Assistant. With its web and command-line interfaces for Windows and Linux, SAA allows administrators to configure, manage, and update a single node or an entire data center.
