Designed for virtualization, AI inference, Machine Learning and a host of other high-performance computing applications, the Supermicro Hyper A+ Server 2126HS-TN features dual AMD EPYC 9004 or 9005-series processors with a Thermal Design Power (TDP) range of up to 500W. Up to 24x hot-swap drive bays in front support SAS, SATA and NVMe drive types, for flexible storage depending on your business needs, but there are other options.
An 8-bay configuration is the default, with a central drive cage. At 2U, the Supermicro Hyper A+ Server 2126HS-TN offers dense memory with 24x DDR5 memory module slots. 12-channel memory architecture delivers 1x DIMM per channel (1DPC) using Registered DIMMS (RDIMM) ensuring a top memory speed of up to 6000MT/s and up to 9TB using 9005-series CPUs or up to 4800MT/s and up to 6TB using 4th 9004-series CPUs. In addition to 24x storage bays up front, the system also supports 2x PCIe 3.0 x4 slots on the system board for 1x or 2x NVMe M.2 drives to boot the system, preserving your up-front storage. The system can support up to 3x double-wide GPUs. PCIe slots are split between the CPUs in a dual root configuration. A+ Server 2126HS-TN offers flexible PCIe options for a number of applications.
The system can support up to 4x CXL 2.0 x16 devices including double-wide, high-performance GPUs for AI applications. However, with a 24x NVMe drive configuration some PCIe slots are not available. There is an Integrated Platform Management Interface RJ45 port on the back of the system for remote management. Supermicro provides a few software utilities to manage the system including, SuperCloud Composer, Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), and several other software suites. An Advanced I/O Module (AIOM) or Add-On Card (AOC) slot supports additional network ports and link speeds without taking up any of the standard PCIe slots. The system is powered by dual redundant power supply units (PSU) ranging from 1200W to 2600W depending on the configuration.
