With support for up to 2x 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, the Supermicro Hyper SuperServer 220H-TN24R can be outfitted with up to 12TB of memory using Intel Optane with DRAM. On the front of the server, there are 24x 2.5-inch drive bays compatible with NVMe/SAS/SATA drives. To expand the capabilities of this system, the rear houses 4x optional PCIe 4.0 x16 or x8 full-height slots and 4x optional PCIe 4.0 x8 full-height slots. These slots will not be available to use if the chosen storage configuration is 24x NVMe drives.
With a total of 32x DIMM slots evenly divided across both CPU sockets, The Supermicro Hyper 220H-TN24R server is designed for intensive computational applications such as cloud computing, server deployment, machine learning and more. 2x NVMe M.2 slots on the system board provide options for additional super-fast storage or can be used to boot the system in a mirrored RAID.
An optional Advanced I/O Module can be installed on the back of the chassis for additional network ports that will not detract from the PCIe slots. Depending on the choice of risers, the system will be outfitted with either 8x PCIe 4.0 x8 slots or 4x PCIe 4.0 x16 slots which will support up to 4x double-wide accelerator cards. System management is achieved by a dedicated Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) LAN port found on the back of the system. Powering the system are dual redundant 1600W Titanium level power Supply Units (PSU).
