The Supermicro IoT SuperServer 211SSE-31D offers 3x hot-pluggable nodes in a 2U form factor. Although the system does not support drive bays, there are 2x M.2 NVMe PCIe 5.0 x4 internal slots for 2280 and 22110 cards, per node. Each node can accommodate a single 4th or 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor with up to 52 cores, 104 threads, and a TDP of up to 300W. The Super X13 motherboard enables up to 2TB of DDR5 memory. RDIMM and LRDIMM memory modules support speeds of up to 5600MHz.
This system is ideal for multi-access edge computing, telecom DRAN, CRAN, edge core applications, and more. On the front of the server, there are dual 2000W DC redundant power supplies, plus 4x counter-rotating fans with fan speed control and an air shroud directing fresh air over critical components. Each node supports 3x PCIe 5.0 slots on the back of the chassis, including 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 low-profile slots and 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 full-height, half-length slots. With the help of SuperDoctor 5, Supermicro’s own software, the SuperServer 211SSE-31D can be used to keep track of the system's CPU temperature, voltages, fan speed, and other factors. This tool can be used locally or remotely, as well as other software like Redfish API, IPMI 2.0, and Watch Dog.
