The compact 2U Supermicro IoT SuperServer 212B-FLN2T measures 17.7 inches in depth, making it ideal for 5G core and edge environments, network function virtualization, cloud computing, and beyond. At its core, the system is powered by a single Intel Xeon 6 processor either from the 6500 or 6700 series.
Users can choose between P-Core or E-Core configurations: P-Core CPUs support up to 86 cores and 172 threads, while E-Core variants offer up to 144 cores and 144 threads. Processors supported on this platform are limited to a maximum TDP of up to 350W with air cooling. The 8x DIMM slots surrounding the CPU, can accommodate up to 1TB of DDR5 RDIMMs at speeds of 6400 MT/s. For storage, the SuperServer 212B-FLN2T offers flexible options. The rear panel houses 4x hot-swap 2.5” NVMe drive bays, which may require additional storage controllers or cables. Additionally, the system includes 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x2 NVMe slots (M-key 22110) ideal for OS boot drives or extra storage.
The 212B-FLN2T server supports up to 4x single-width GPUs via a PCIe 5.0 x16 CPU-to-GPU interconnect. By default, it features 3x PCIe 5.0 x16 (in x16) HHFL slots and 3x PCIe 5.0 x8 (in x8) HHFL slots, but alternative configurations are also available.

The I/O panel is located at the front of the chassis, enabling easy access. To streamline management of the system, Supermicro provides a suite of software utilities. These include the SuperServer Automation Assistant (SAA), SuperCloud Composer, and Supermicro Server Manager. SAA, a command-line-based tool, allows administrators to configure, manage, and update a single node or an entire data center.
