The Supermicro IoT SuperServer E403-12P-FN2T is a single socket system compatible with a single 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor. The system is designed for Multi-Access Edge Computing, Network function Virtualization, AI on Edge, and other high-performance applications. Fully configured, this system supports up to 2TB of memory. Internally, there are 4x 2.5-inch SATA drive bays.
Designed for Multi-Access Edge Computing, Industrial Automation, Retail, and Smart Medical Expert Systems, AI on Edge, and Machine Learning tasks, the Supermicro IoT SuperServer E403-12P-FN2T is housed in a “Box” PC chassis and supports a single 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor. There are 8x DIMM slots on the system board with a maximum memory capacity of up to 2TB. On the interior of the system there are 4x 2.5-inch SATA drive bays as well as a 3x PCIe Gen4 slot for a single M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA3 drive. The front of the system houses 3x PCIe Gen4 x16 slots. Power is provided by a 600W AC power supply.
Powered by a single 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor, this system’s hardware configuration supports CPUs with a Thermal Design Point that ranges between 85W and 205W. With this limitation, CPUs with up to 32x physical cores and 64x virtual threads can be installed on the system.
4x 2.5-inch SATA drives bays are available internally on the Supermicro E403-12P-FN2T server. In addition, a single optional M.2 NVMe or SATA3 drive slot is available on the system board. The M.2 slot is ideal for fast access storage or OS installation. The system provides onboard native support for SATA RAID levels of 0 and 1.
Memory modules compatible with this system are ECC DDR4 Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) or Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMM). A maximum memory configuration of 2TB is possible on this system, using 8x 256GB RDIMM/LRDIMM modules.
System expansion is achieved through 3x PCIe 4.0 x16 Full-Height, Full-Length slots, which are accessible from the front of the chassis. These PCIe slots can be outfitted with add-on-cards or GPU or Computational Accelerators for vastly improved computational performance. In addition, there are 2x 10GbE BaseT ports available to connect this system with the rest of your IT infrastructure.
Supermicro provides a suite of management options, including Intel Node Manager, Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0, SUM, SOM, KVM with dedicated LAN, and NMI. Watch Dog and SuperDoctor 5 are proprietary software options which grants access to remote management functionality as well as at chassis management.
