The Supermicro Storage A+ Server 1014S-ACR12N4H is a high-density, top-loading 1U system powered by a single AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003* series processor with up to 64 cores and 128 threads. After lifting the lid, the chassis supports 12x 3.5” SAS/SATA hot-swap storage bays in toolless drive carriers that attach to 3x small backplanes. Each backplane supports 4x 3.5” HDDs. On the front panel, there are 4x additional 2.5” 7mm NVMe drive bays, plus 2x M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x2 slots on the motherboard for 2280 or 22110 cards. The 22110 form factor is recommended because the appropriate standoff comes pre-installed on the motherboard.
Ideal for database applications, big data analytics, Hadoop & Ceph storage solutions, and more, the Supermicro Storage 1014S-ACR12N4H has a lot to offer in a small 1U chassis. The platform supports up to 4TB of ECC DDR4 memory modules in 16x slots with a top speed of 3200 MHz. RDIMM, LRDIMM or 3DS RDIMM or LRDIMM memory modules are compatible with this platform. 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 full-height, half-length slots in a riser card bracket and 1x PCIe 4.0 x16 low-profile expansion slot can be used for expansion options. To manage the system, there is a single dedicated RJ45 IPMI LAN port on the rear. Several software programs available from Supermicro can manage the system including SuperDoctor 5 which functions in a command-line or web-based interface for Windows and Linux operating systems. The program monitors system health information like CPU temperature, system voltages, system power consumption, fan speed, and provides alerts via email or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). *NOTE: The AMD EPYC 7003 CPU requires BIOS version 2.0 or newer
