With a unique front loading storage configuration that supports up to 24x 3.5-inch storage bays, the 2U Supermicro Storage A+ Server 2015S-E1CR24L features a single 4th generation AMD EPYC CPU. The thermal design power range on the CPU is listed at up to 290W for air cooled configurations. At full capacity it can support up to 3TB of DDR5 registered (RDIMM) or load-reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules.
In addition to the 2x front loading drive cages, each supporting 12x 3.5-inch SAS3, SATA3 drive formats, the system also has 2x rear SAS drive slots plus the option to install 4x rear NVMe drive bays instead of PCIe slots. The Supermicro Storage A+ Server 2015S-E1CR24L has up to 6x PCIe 5.0 slots with a Broadcom 3808 HBA controller in slot #2 and two dedicated PCIe 5.0 x16 advanced I/O module (AIOM) slots compliant with OCP 3.0 SFF standards. Two slots on the system board support 2x NVMe M.2 drives that can be used to boot the system in a mirrored RAID.
Management of the Supermicro 2015S-E1CR24L is either through third-party options compatible with the integrated platform management interface 2.0 (IPMI 2.0) or through a suite of Supermicro software. Supermicro’s management tools include SuperDoctor 5.0 (SD5), The Supermicro Update Manager (SUM), and the Supermicro Server Manager (SSM), to name a few. A dedicated RJ45 port on the back of the system provides access to the integrated baseboard management controller (BMC). Power is provided by dual redundant 1600W Titanium-level PSUs.
